Has Loki Trailer Just Confirmed The Return Of Black Widow In MCU?

One of the easter eggs included in Loki series trailer is the return of Black Widow in MCU.

Finally, MCU’s beloved villain, Loki the God of Mischief is getting his own MCU series. Loki fans can now rejoice as they can now see more of their favourite MCU character.

In one of the blink and miss scenes, a lone figure somewhat appears like Natasha/Black Widow can be seen. Marvel fans are going crazy over this scene and many have even come up with several theories of their own.

In Avengers: Endgame, we had to bid goodbye to Black Widow who sacrificed herself so that Hawkeye can get the soul stone. As we all know, the Black Widow has been delayed for a very long time because of the pandemic. The movie focuses on how Natasha became Black Widow and is mostly about her past.

Is Natasha / Black Widow in the Loki series?

The blink and miss scene does confirm that the Black Widow can be a part of the upcoming Loki series. This scene in the Loki trailer gives rise to two questions,

“Where in the MCU timeline is Loki series set?”

“Is it a past version of Black Widow?”

Here goes the first question,

Loki, the God of Mischief was last seen escaping through a portal in the Stark Tower. This takes place in 2012 when Loki tried to lead an invasion to Earth. So he is not the same Loki we saw die in Avengers: Infinity War.

By looking at the Loki trailer, it seems that every character in the MCU like Black Widow, Heimdall and other characters are still alive as Thanos is yet to make his move.

Here goes the second question,

Since the Loki series is taking place way before Avengers: Infinity Game, it is safe to say that all the MCU characters are alive. It also means that the Black Widow that we see in the trailer is the past version of herself.

However, she can be seen sitting on a distant planet alone in the Loki trailer. How she ends up there is not yet known, but it is clear that Black Widow is going to be a part of the Loki series.
